Claws Out: Marvel’s Wolverine Video Game Club Begins
SPOILERS AHEAD, but let's talk about Telambang!

Marvel’s Wolverine felt like the perfect game to kick off Going in Blind Video Game Club. Joined by my friend and superhero expert Caboose, we dug into Insomniac’s take on Logan, from its comic book inspirations to the creative choices that set this version apart.
Right away, the game makes it clear this is not Spider-Man with claws. The combat is bloody, aggressive, and packed with wonderfully nasty finishers. It starts a little button-mashy, but parries, rage abilities, and new techniques quickly add more depth and let Wolverine feel increasingly dangerous.
The opening may not match the spectacle of Insomniac’s best Spider-Man intros, but strong performances, tense character dynamics, and some genuinely jaw-dropping action make it an exciting start. It captures Logan’s brutality while teasing the complicated history beneath all that rage.
SPOILER WARNING
From here on out, this episode will be filled with spoilers for the entirety of the “Telambang” section of the game. To allow you time to catch up, next week we’ll be diving into the “Canada” section, just as a heads-up.
