Okay, Wolverine. Let’s Talk About That Ending.
Seven Episodes Later, Did Wolverine Stick the Landing?

Well, everybody, we made it. Caboose and I are wrapping up Marvel’s Wolverine in the finale of Going in Blind Video Game Club, and there is a lot to talk about. We’re getting into the ending, the final fights, the extra stuff, and how we feel about the game now that we’ve gone through it piece by piece. I won’t spoil any of that here, but there were definitely moments where we wanted more, choices we weren’t necessarily fans of, and things that reminded us why we enjoyed playing this in the first place.
Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player action-adventure game and a standalone entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, sharing continuity with those titles while telling its own self-contained story. Players control Logan/Wolverine in close-quarters combat, using his adamantium claws against enemies drawn from the X-Men comic book mythology.
For me, the performances are still one of the best parts of this game. Liam McIntyre really made Logan his own, and watching him and Troy Baker act circles around each other was such a great part of the experience. And the quieter conversations? I wanted more of those, too. That’s what I really enjoyed as someone whose experience with the X-Men has mostly been the movies and cartoons. Getting this deeper look at Logan gave me a lot to appreciate, even when the game didn’t quite do everything I wanted it to.
So, where do I land after all of this? I’d probably put it at an eight out of ten. It’s a great game. Not necessarily amazing, not a full-blown masterpiece, but definitely better than just good. And honestly, going back through it with Caboose added a lot more enjoyment than I had during my first playthrough. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and I’m so glad we got to start this video game club with Wolverine. Thanks so much for watching or listening, everybody. We’ll see you in the next one.
